Stabilization buffers
Why do you need stabilisation solutions?
Stabilisers for immunoassays are necessary to preserve the native conformation of proteins and to protect them from loss of functionality. Stabilisers for immunoassays enable the long-term storage of antibodies, conjugates (e.g. HRP-labelled or AP-labelled) and antigens in solutions as well as on surfaces such as microtitre plates or others. We offer stabilisers to protect proteins, antibodies and conjugates in solution, as well as stabilisers for antibodies applied to surfaces.
To consistently achieve reliable and reproducible results in immunoassays, it is essential to preserve standards for calibration curves, coated plates and antibodies during storage. Stabilisers can be used to preserve the activity of all biological components in an immunoassay. They are commonly used in the production of commercial ELISA kits with a shelf life of 2 years or more.
We offer stabilisation solutions for antibodies and proteins for long-term storage at 2–8°C. These buffers are based on either TRIS or PBS, depending on their end use, and prevent freeze-thaw cycles that could damage antibodies and proteins.
