Product Introduction

Bioactivity
Description
Sudan Black B is a lipophilic diazo dye commonly used in histochemistry to stain neutral lipids, phospholipids, lipoproteins, and lipofuscin within the cytoplasm, facilitating studies of lipid and cellular metabolism.
In vitro
Sudan Black B is also applicable to frozen samples, making it suitable for combined use with SA-β-gal in detecting cellular senescence. Sudan Black B is an intensely lipophilic reagent with high affinity for the lipid components of lipofuscin. Under optical microscopy, Sudan Black B-lipofuscin positive reactions appear as blue-black intracellular granules in cells and frozen tissues, while exhibiting brown-black granules in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues [1].
