Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Endotoxin
<0.1 EU per 1 ug of the protein by the LAL method.
Activity
Measured by its ability to induce TF-1 cells proliferation. The ED?? for this effect is <0.15 ng/mL. The specific activity of recombinant human IL-3 is approximately >1.2 x 10^6 IU/mg.
Usage Notes
Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Human IL-3 Protein, His tag (Animal-Free) using the buffer we provided not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

NCBI Summary for IL-3
The protein encoded by this gene is a potent growth promoting cytokine. This cytokine is capable of supporting the proliferation of a broad range of hematopoietic cell types. It is involved in a variety of cell activities such as cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis. This cytokine has been shown to also possess neurotrophic activity, and it may be associated with neurologic disorders. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
