Specificity
This anti Borrelia burgdorferi antibody recognizes one of the causative agents of Lyme disease. B. burgdorferi is a spirochaete bacterium and one of the few pathogenic bacteria capable of surviving in the absence of iron. This antibody cross reacts with Treponema pallidum, Borrelia hermsii and Borrelia parkeri.
Store undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Borrelia burgdorferi is a species of bacteria of the spirochete class of the genus Borrelia. B.burgdorferi sensu stricto (predominant in North America, but also in Europe), is the agent of Lyme disease, and is a sub species of B.bugdorferi sensu lato.
