Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein (24202P)

Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein (MOG) is a membrane protein expressed on the oligodendrocyte cell surface and the outermost surface of myelin sheaths. Given its localization, it is a prime target antigen of immunemediated demyelination. MOG is involved in completion and maintenance of the myelin sheath and in cellcell communication. MOG is differentially expressed in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and in the temporal lobe from patients with schizophrenia.

Although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, the lyophilized product is best stored at or below 20°C. Upon reconstitution, product can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week but is best stored at or below 20°C for longer periods of time. Addition of a carrier protein (such as 0.1% HSA or BSA) is recommended for long term storage.
