Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a 100-350nm enveloped virus belonging to the Paramyxoviridae, genus Pneumovirus, that causes minor respiratory infections in adults and bronchitis and bronchopneumonia in children. Its genome consists of single stranded, negative sense RNA that codes for 2 non-structural and 8 structural proteins.

Applications:
Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
FLISA: 1:1000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:5000. Binds to a protein of ~23kD which is considered likely to be Fusion Protein F2.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
