4°CPlasmids were completely digested by the appropriate restriction endonucleases, phenol extracted, ethanol precipitated and dissolved in 10mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 1mM EDTA. The digests were then mixed. The marker yields the following 21 discrete fragments (in base pairs): 10000, 8000, 6000, 5000, 4000, 3500, 3000, 2500, 2000, 1500, 1200, 1000, 900, 800, 700, 600, 500, 400, 300, 200, 100.
The bright bands at 3000 bp, 1000 bp and 500 bp serve as the reference.
