Date: Thursday, 15 October 2026  |  Time: 11:00 CET

Join Alga Biologics for a webinar on microalgae as innovative cell biofactories for recombinant antibodies. Discover a new generation of Trastuzumab and Rituximab produced in microalgae — sustainable, high-performance alternatives for research and diagnostic applications.

Overview

Microalgae are emerging as innovative cell biofactories for recombinant antibodies, offering an attractive alternative to conventional mammalian cell-based production. In this webinar, we will introduce the potential of microalgae-derived antibodies for biomedical research and diagnostic applications.

Using Trastuzumab produced in the diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum as a case study, we will showcase data demonstrating specific HER2 recognition and binding performance comparable to CHO-derived Trastuzumab. We will explore its performance across commonly used applications, including Western blot, ELISA, FACS and immunohistochemistry. We will also introduce Rituximab as another example of a monoclonal antibody produced using this innovative platform.

Join us to discover how microalgae-derived antibodies could provide a new generation of reliable and sustainable tools for your research and diagnostic workflows.
