-20°CEpitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining techniques. Because of their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties.
The ALFA-tag is a highly versatile epitope tag made from a hydrophilic, 15 amino acid sequence with a high propensity to form a small, stable α-helix structure (1).
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:1000; incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% nonfat dry milk, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
