Meperidine (Demerol) is a fast acting opioid analgesic drug most commonly used for moderate to severe pain. Once the most common opioid medication used for pain, it is now seldom used due to its adverse side effects (seizures, delirium, neuropsychological effects), as well as the availability of newer and safer prescription pain relieving drugs. Meperidine-HRP conjugate is made by grafting HRP on meperidine.
Each vial contains 0.5 ml of antigen covalently bound to horseradish peroxidase suitable for use as a tracer in immunoassay development with a meperidine or Normeperidine Antibody (Cat. No. 252394). The conjugate is supplied as a concentrate. Determine best dilution for assay and use immediately after dilution. E: 1:200-1:2,000
