L-NIL, 5 mg

L-NIL (N⁶-(1-Iminoethyl)-lysine, dihydrochloride) is a potent and moderately selective inhibitor of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS).

• Moderately selective inhibition of iNOS over other NOS isoforms
• White solid soluble in water

L-NIL exhibits about 28-fold greater selectivity (IC₅₀ = 3.3 uM) than for the rat brain constitutive enzyme (IC₅₀ = 92 uM). It exhibits about 10-fold greater inhibitory potency than NG-monomethyl-L-arginine in inhibiting γ-interferon-induced NO₂- production (IC₅₀ = 460 nM).

If a variety of NOS inhibitors are needed, we offer a NOS Inhibitor Kit which contains four four NOS inhibitors: 7-NI (00240) (50 mg), L-NMMA (00241) (25 mg), L-NIL (00242) (5 mg) and L-NIO (00243) (5 mg).
