| In vitro | Dissolving β-D-glucan in DMSO, but not in water, results in a concentration-dependent inhibition of MCF-7 cell proliferation, as determined by BrdU incorporation, with an IC50 of approximately 164 μg/mL. β-D-glucan, when dissolved in DMSO, inhibits the proliferation of tamoxifen/endocrine-resistant LCC9 and LY2 cells with IC50 values of 4.6 and 24.2 μg/mL, respectively.[3] |
