TE Buffer 10X, Liquid Concentrate, made with DEPC treated DI water. TE (Tris-EDTA) has a liquid concentrate of 10X with a pH level of 8.0 brought up with HCl and is stored at room temperature. It contains 100 mM Tris and 10 mM EDTA. It is of biotechnology grade and no DNAse or RNAse activity is detected. TE buffer is used to solubilize DNA or RNA while protecting it from degradation. TE (Tris-EDTA) is commonly used for DNA isolation and electrophoresis protocols.
