Crude cell extracts contain a variety of endogenous enzymes capable of degrading proteins, such as phosphatases and proteases. The optimal method to enhance the yield of intact proteins is to supplement with inhibitors targeting these known enzymes.This Protease Inhibitor Cocktail is used in plant cell and tissue extracts to improve protein stability. The cocktail inhibits proteases that degrade both non-phosphorylated and phosphorylated protein substrates.
The Protease Inhibitor Cocktail contains individual components including AEBSF, 1,10-Phenanthroline, Bestatin, E-64, Leupeptin, and Pepstatin A, providing broad specificity against cysteine, serine, aspartic, metalloproteases, and aminopeptidases. This protease inhibitor cocktail has been optimized and tested specifically for plant cell and tissue extracts. Provided as a ready-to-use solution, this protease inhibitor cocktail is supplied in DMSO as the solvent.
