| In vitro | Method: RAW264.7 cells were treated with different concentrations of Verbascose (25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 μg/mL) for 12, 24, 36, and 48 hours, and cell viability was assessed. Result: Verbascose significantly increased the viability of RAW264.7 cells in the range of 25–400 μg/mL in a time-dependent manner [1]. |
| In vivo | Methods: Immunosuppressed female Kunming mice were subcutaneously injected with different doses of Verbascose (30, 90, 120 mg/kg) once daily for 8 consecutive days. Results: Treatment with the medium dose (90 mg/kg) significantly increased the spleen index, lysozyme activity in the spleen and serum, serum hemolysin levels, and the earlap swelling rate in the delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) response. |
