Biological Activity
ACTH (1-39) TFA is a polypeptide hormone extracted from the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland of mammals, acts on the adrenal cortex, and has the effect of promoting the proliferation of adrenal cortex tissue and the production and secretion of corticosteroids. Corticotropin is easily soluble in water and ethanol. It is more stable in weak acid, and easily inactivated in strong acid or alkali.
